CROSBY PARK

Public BBQ

Stumbled upon Crosby Park during a coffee run to the nearby cafe, and what a pleasant discovery it turned out to be. This sprawling green haven in Albion delivers that rare combination of practical facilities and genuine charm that makes suburban parks worth seeking out. The mature trees provide blessed relief on Brisbane's sweltering days, casting generous shade around the sports ovals where local rugby teams battle it out. A paved central path winds through the space, connecting Crosby Road to Peter Fenton Place, with plenty of benches for those inevitable rest stops - or coffee contemplation sessions. The off-lead dog area draws a steady parade of four-legged locals, while families spread out across the generous grass expanses. Undercover barbecue facilities and tables make this a proper destination rather than just a passing-through sort of place. Parking proves challenging during weekdays, but the local amenities more than compensate. Pop across the road for locally brewed beer or hot chips, or settle in with takeaway coffee and watch the world unfold.
